Vocalist Delphine Rivers and Marie Dunkle, on electric violin, are a seasoned and entertaining duo who treat audiences to songs and rhythms for listening and dancing.
Much of R&R’s music repertoire comes from masters of the 1920’s to 40’s like Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Chet Baker and Louis Armstrong. We also perform eclectic music of contemporary musicians we admire like Tracy Chapman, Tom Waits, Sam Ryder and Nick Cave. Our rhythm styles include smoky noir Blues, Latin grooves, hot and sweet Swing and Speakeasy Jazz.
Delphine and Marie united their love of this special music in the Spring of 2026 and created Rosin & Rose. Our name speaks “vintage” and our vibe is “speakeasy”. Rosin is a material rubbed on a violin bow to bring out sound. Rose is a tribute to both of Delphine’s great grandmothers who were named Rose.
Their musical talents are enhanced and inspired by masterful background tracks created for R&R by musician/producer Alan McPike of Scotland UK
